40x50, monoprint, 5 layers screen print on canvas, 2025.

Homage to the Streets: #LOVEWINS is a powerful reimagining of protest banners originally created by Rüzgar Buşki and Va-Bene Elikem Fiatsi in February 2022. These banners were first printed for a demonstration in front of the Ghanaian Embassy in Berlin, protesting the proposed anti-LGBTQI+ bill in Ghana. At the time, they were distributed among activists as a visible symbol of solidarity and resistance.

For the Activist Choreographies of Care exhibition, Rüzgar Buşki expanded this gesture into a new body of work: 36 monoprinted banners—each one a bold visual response to the 36 pages of the discriminatory bill. Using Va-Bene’s iconic social media tag #LoveWins as a unifying thread, the banners celebrate transnational queer solidarity and highlight the shared struggles across borders—connecting the cities of Istanbul, Berlin, and Kumasi, where both artists are rooted.

Now, 15 of the 36 monoprints are available for purchase. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of living protest, art, and queer resistance. 50% of the proceeds will be donated to pIAR, an artist residency committed to fostering critical, inclusive, and creative practices.
